Moong Dal Idli

 

Ingredients 

Moong dhuli dal-1 cup

Curd-1 tbsp

Onion-1 small (chopped)

Garlic and green chili paste-1 tsp

Grated carrot-2 tbsp

Methi dana- ½ tsp

Salt-acc taste

Oil-(for greasing)

 

Method- Soak moong dal and methi dana for 5-6 hours. Drain water and make smooth paste in grinder along with ½ cup of water.Add curd in dal paste and mix properly. Keep aside for 20 minutes. Now add chopped onions,garlic  & chili paste, grated carrot  and salt. Mix properly. Grease idli stand with little oil and pour batter with spoon. Steam idlis for 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly and demould. Serve with green chutney.
