Raw papaya parantha
Ingredients
Raw Papaya -100 gm
Wheat flour – 50 gm
Oil – 2 tsp
Cumin seeds - ¼ tsp.
Green chili - 1-2 (chopped)
Ginger – ½ inch long pieces (grated)
Coriander leaves - 2 tsp.
Salt - according to the taste.
Method-Wash the papaya and cut it into pieces, take out the seeds, peel off the skin and wash it again. Grate the papaya in bowl .Heat oil in a pan and tamper cumin seeds. Now add green chili and ginger to it. Roast for a while and then put grated papaya and salt to it. Mix them well with the help of a spoon and cook it for 3-4 minutes. Keep on stirring the papaya at short intervals while coking it so it doesn\'t stick at the bottom of the pan. Let the mixture cool off.
Prepare soft dough of wheat flour with help of water. Take a small portion of the dough, make a ball of it and dust it with dry flour. Now roll the dough ball into a flat disc of 3-4 inch with the help of a roller on a rolling board. Take 1 table spoon mixture from the papaya mixture and put it over the rolled out parantha. Fold the parantha from all the corners and close it by pressing it with the hands. Dust the parantha and keep on pressing with hands to increase its size. Heat tava on gas and put the parantha over it and roast it from both the sides and corners with little oil till it turns brown in color.
