drumstick soup
Ingredients
2 no. drumstick
2 tsp toor dal, pressure cooked
1/2 onion, chopped
1 small tomato, chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
salt and pepper to taste
1 tbsp , fresh coriander, chopped
1 tsp oil.
1 bayleaf
1 clove
1/2 inch cinnamon stick
Method
cut the drumstick into small finger size and pressure cook with 2 cups of water and salt. remove the drumsticks and with the help of a spoon remove the pulp and keep it aside. both the water and pulp will be used in the soup.
Heat a pan , add cinnamon , bay leaf and clove and stir for 30 seconds. Add chopped onion and garlic and saute for 1 minute. Add tomato , salt and peppers ad saue till tomatoes become mushy.when tomatoes are cooked , add dal and mix well. Add drumstick pulp and broth and cook at low flame till it boil. Remove from the flame and let it cool down. once cool blend it into a smooth and clear soup.
Transfer again to the pan and reheat. adjust salt and pepper and serve.
